My approach to this campaign was to highlight the emotional connection a well-loved product can evoke through a heartwarming holiday story about a man, a dog, and their flannel.

Our award-winning How-To videos help people build confidence and overcome common obstacles so they can try new things outdoors. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, increasing customer acquisition, boosting sales in targeted categories, and raising awareness of our nationwide outdoor programs. 

L.L.Bean: Fenway Park Jumbotron Video (Red Sox Partnership)
The ask was to reinforce our partnership with the Boston Red Sox while introducing our outdoor brand to potential new customers. We knew we had to cut through the noise of the stadium, so we worked with legendary Red Sox announcer Joe Castiglione to provide our audience with an identifiable voice that would distinguish us from other ads.

Traditionally not seen as a stylish brand, the strategy was to show how customers could elevate popular products with insider tips from L.L.Bean stylists. The success of these videos not only boosted engagement but also paved the way for new video opportunities within our internal agency.

When asked to reinforce our brand as outerwear experts, we developed behind-the-scenes videos featuring our merchandisers and designers, adding a human touch while highlighting the innovations and problem-solving features that set our outerwear apart.

The goal was to showcase our iconic products with ads that conveyed our heritage without feeling outdated. To stand out, we featured real Maine workers and artists, highlighting how these iconic L.L.Bean products support them in their daily lives and the activities they are most passionate about. This campaign was highly effective, increasing consideration intent by 5.9% and raising our affinity score by 11.5%.
